Reusable Tent

The reusable tent is placed over the food on the Backwuds BakeEZ while cooking. The tents are skillfully handcrafted with high quality materials.

My Story

As an avid backpacker, I was looking to expand my food choices (you can eat only so much pasta or rice). I decided to make naan bread pizza on my backpack on the Big Indian Gorge Trail at Steens Mtn. My first attempt involved using a shallow pan over my camp stove. The bottom was burned, and the top was uncooked.  But we were starving, so it went over ok. My next attempt was backpacking along the John Day River in Oregon. It involved cooking a pizza on foil over a pot of boiling water and tented with foil.  This was a big improvement and the journey to develop my Backwuds BakeEZ began! After numerous trials, design changes and recipes I am proud to present a new way to enjoy food in the wilderness. Enjoy!

FAQ

• How does the Backwuds BakeEZ work?
The Backwuds BakeEZ is used with a gas backpacking stove and a pot. The Backwuds BakeEZ with tin foil on top, rests on the pot of boiling water. The food is placed on the Backwuds BakeEZ. The tent is placed over the food. The burner heat and the steam are captured under the tent, heating the food from the top.
